Women within the United Church have been forming UCW groups since the organization was formally inaugurated on January 1st, 1962 through the amalgamation of the Woman's Missionary Society (WMS) and the Woman's Association (WA). PurposeThe purpose of the UCW of the congregation or pastoral charge is to unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church and to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship and service. MembershipMembership is open to any woman who is in sympathy with the Purpose and who is willing to contribute her prayers, gifts, and services for the work of the church in the world. Functions

To unite the women of the congregation for the total mission of the church and to support and strengthen the work of the UCW in the local congregations of the Presbytery by providing opportunities for spiritual growth, Christian fellowship, and leadership development.
The UCW is always looking for new Members. Volunteers are the staple of much of our Church's and the UCW is no different. Please Spread the word and join the United Church Women. |

June 3rd , 2009 - Cape Wolfe UCW @ Church at 2:00pm.
*All UCW Groups have meetings every month from September to June. July and August there are no meetings held.
